Located in
Southern Norway, Kjeragbolten is a hiker’s dream come true. This place
is hard to miss. A massive boulder lodged in a mountain fissure is probably the
most photographed rock in Norway. The place is popular for base jumping and of
course, for photos. The nearest town to this destination is Lysebotn, which is
about 15 min drive.
For centuries, statues have frozen important occasions in time. From ancient time to this day, there have been millions of artworks created. But, the sculptures of Viejo Rönkkönen are something special. Parikalla, Finland, is not a popular tourist destination. Located right next to the Russian border, this quiet place doesn’t seem to have anything out of the ordinary. But, roaming around the park of Viejo Rönkkönen is not a walk in a park. Every narrow pathway is surrounded by life-sized statues, that could give even the bravest visitors’ chills.
Vasa Museum in Stockholm,
consists of only one artifact, but it may take all day to explore it. Located
on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm, The Vasa is a 17th century warship,
which has become a museum. The warship is divided into six floors, each of them
offers a glimpse into a life on board, as well as curious finds from the
warship.
The Biel
Water is a stream that could be seen as the landmark of the Biel village.
Starting at the Luggate Burn, the river runs for 4,5 kilometers (almost 3
miles) right through the village and finally meets the Belhaven Bay in Southern
Scotland. During low tide, locals and tourists can use the bridge to walk over
the Biel Water and get to the Belhaven Bay beach. The scenery of this
beach combines sand dunes with salt marsh and grasslands that provide a splash
of colour.
